Abstracts (Digests)

The abstract/digest should consist of sufficient material and information considered necessary by the author(s) to demonstrate relevance and technical merit of the paper. Digests should not be shorter than 400 words and preferably no more than (3) A4 pages inclusive of any diagrams and/or figures. Abstracts will be assessed by blind peer review. The digest should be written with title and content only as a stand-alone document and should not in include or identify the authors or the author affiliations. The digest document is uploaded separately from author details during the submission process. If the digest relies on references, they too are to be uploaded separately from the digest document. A template to prepare the digest document can be down-loaded here.

Author(s) can nominate their preference for their paper to be delivered as either an oral presentation or as a poster. However, the final presentation type will be at the discretion of the Technical Program Committee.

Acceptance of Papers

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by email. Instructions to Authors for preparation of full paper or poster for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore will be available on the conference website. Presentation Guidelines will also be found on the conference website.
Content of full paper must be consistent with the subject matter described in the original Abstract and must not contain commercial advertising or product endorsements. Final papers will be checked by the Program Committee for compliance prior to the conference.
Authors are not exempt from Registration Fees. The presenting author must register as a full conference delegate by the Presenters Registration deadline date (date to be advised) otherwise their paper(s) and/or poster(s) will be removed from the Conference Proceedings and the Conference Program. No-show presentations may result in the paper or poster not being uploaded to IEEE Xplore.

Proposals from individuals or companies interested in providing tutorial or training services should consist of 1,000 word (max.) summary outlining scope and content, and should include presenter credentials and contact details. Commercial Product Exposure Stream

As part of the Industry Exhibition at INTELEC® 2019, a separate technical content stream is available for manufacturers and product developers to give formal technical presentations to conference delegates without the need to observe the prohibition on commercial promotion which applies in the peer-review process of technical papers. Papers submitted for the Commercial Product Exposure Stream should not be merely sales or marketing material. Submission will be accepted or rejected by the Technical Program Committee based on the technical content and merit exposed in a digest. Papers in the Commercial Product Stream are listed in the Conference Program. Papers of technical substance in this stream may also be included in the Conference Proceeding, but commercial-content papers are not uploaded IEEE Xplore. Papers in this stream must be lodged via the Technical Program Contributions portal at the conference website.
